Heading Descriptions

You may change the general ledger description for sales (30000), cost of sales (50000) or JIB expenses for 71000, 72000, 73000, 74000, 75000 in this routine. The program will locate the current description for this group of general ledger numbers in the Company Chart of Accounts file specified. You may assign a new description for any or all of these headings. No dollar values will be affected; only the new description will be re-written in the Company Chart of Accounts file.
Select JIB - Tools for Statements - Heading Descriptions
You may enter new line item description or delete the entire description. New descriptions will be changed in the Company Chart of Accounts and in the Unit Chart of Accounts. Heading descriptions for general ledger number 30000 and general ledger number 50000 will be reflected on the Operating Statements, Summary of All Units for each owner and the Owner 1099 report. If your general ledger does not have 30000 the system will default to revenue on the Summary of All Units. If you don't have general ledger account 50000, the system will default to tax/deductions (instead of taxes, as in the past) on the Summary of All Units in the Operating Statements.
