Overview
The Roughneck Derek is a fully loaded Accounting System for Oil and Gas Operators. It has plenty of options and flexibility for Billing Investors and Disbursing Revenue. It can handle up to 99 different companies (in one data directory) and each company can have up to 99,999 wells with different Owners for each well.
Roughneck has been around since 1979, constantly evaluating and adding on features that have been developed through the years.
NEW FEATURES OF DEREK:
No Closing of Periods:
-No Zeroing of MTD or YTD Values is required
-Print a past P&L or other report at any time - just specify a time period
-Operate months in advance since you never have to Close a Period or Zero Values
-Every Transaction remains in the Transaction File
-Keep as many years as you want in your Transaction file
More User Friendly:
-Adding Transactions and Invoices is a much more visual routine
-All Transactions remain on your screen until you're finished entering each one
-Every line item of an Invoice remains on your screen until you are done adding items
-Much easier to Edit Invoices - all line items are displayed and can be edited directly

GETTING STARTED
Please read through the "Tutorial for New Users" section thoroughly. Following all the instructions in this tutorial will allow you to become better acquainted with Derek and thus makes setting up your own data much easier. For further help, there is a Quick Start Guide after the initial Tutorial section that will explain, in more detail, how to get started using Derek.
